I was lucky enough to have a fantastical wonderful childhood full of light and colour, in a dusty little town on the outskirts of Adelaide, South Australia. My mother was an art teacher and my father was a music teacher. I cannot underestimate the impact this has had on my chosen path - my life was full of bedtime stories of gentle monsters and strange lands, I was encouraged to paint on the walls and love animals.

I grew up, moved on and left my fantasy childhood behind, and began working in a series of jobs, even though I knew that one day I would be back there again. Then, at the age of thirty-five, I decided it was finally time to set sail for the colour and stories again.

I make sculpture that is sometimes functional, and functional ware that is often sculptural. My aim is to spread some happiness though my work & make people smile when they are using the objects I create.
